The first major storm of the season struck eastern Utah and western Colorado on Monday and Tuesday, bringing fresh snow and much colder air. A first cold front moved through the region before sunrise Tuesday, followed by a second, colder and stronger front later in the day and evening. The combined weather systems brought abundant snowfall to the mountains and the coldest air of the season so far.
